Gunmen Abduct Two Residents in Osun Border Community

Two residents of Ora-Igbomina in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State have been abducted by unknown gunmen in a late-night attack on the community, which lies along the Osun–Kwara boundary.

The victims, identified as Tayese Adeyeye and Sunday Adewumi, were reportedly seized around midnight on Sunday at a private residence along the Aran-Orin Road in the Papa area of Ora-Igbomina.

Sources said the assailants stormed the community at about 11:30 p.m., firing shots sporadically into the air to create panic before forcefully dragging the victims into the nearby bush.

The latest abduction comes barely two months after a former Customs officer, Emmanuel Owolabi, was kidnapped in front of his home in the same community. He was later released on January 12, 2026, raising fresh concerns over the growing insecurity in the area.
