Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, December 26, 2025, officially unveiled the Eyo Monument at the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Onikan, marking another milestone in the state’s commitment to preserving and promoting Yoruba heritage, arts, and cultural tourism.
The unveiling ceremony attracted traditional leaders, cultural icons, policymakers, and creatives, underscoring the symbolic importance of the Eyo masquerade as a timeless emblem of Lagos history and identity. The monument stands as a tribute to the enduring legacy of Yoruba culture and its global relevance.
