Governor Sanwo-Olu Hosts Opening of 6th Lagos Real Estate Marketplace Conference & Exhibitions

Lagos State once again affirmed its position as Africa’s leading real estate and investment destination as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu served as Chief Host at the opening of the 6th Lagos Real Estate Marketplace Conference and Exhibitions, held at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.
Organised by the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA), this year’s conference was themed “Shaping the Future of Lagos Mega City: Infrastructure Investment, Innovation and Affordable Housing.” The event convened policymakers, global real estate investors, developers, financiers, regulators, and industry professionals to engage on strategies for sustainable urban growth in one of Africa’s fastest-growing megacities.
The Governor was joined by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai; Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Barrister Barakat Odunuga-Bakare; and Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun, among other top government officials. In his opening address, Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for real estate development through regulatory reforms, infrastructure expansion, and public–private partnerships aimed at closing the housing deficit and improving urban livability.
The conference also attracted prominent international and regional stakeholders, including Founder and CEO of Andalusia Group, Dubai, Mr. Saleh Tabakh; CEO of the Ghana Real Estate Professional Association, Ms. Victoria Osei Sampah; NAR Global Ambassador for Africa, Mr. Frank Oti; and CEO of GenAl Learning Concept Limited, Mr. Sonny Iroche. Former Lagos State Commissioner, Dr. Muiz Banire, and other respected industry leaders were also in attendance, underscoring the depth and influence of the gathering.
As part of the opening activities, Governor Sanwo-Olu toured the exhibition stands alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Engr. Abdulhafis Toriola, engaging directly with exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions in housing delivery, construction technology, financing models, and smart city development.
