Halima Abubakar Appeals for Help, Says She Is Battling Brain Tumour, Homeless

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has once again appealed to the public for support, revealing that she is battling a brain tumour while also facing homelessness and rising medical expenses.

Speaking during a recent live session, the actress disclosed that her health condition has been compounded by severe financial difficulties, including her eviction from her residence. She described the situation as leaving her homeless and increasingly distressed.

Abubakar said her challenges worsened after she exhausted her savings to fund her mother’s hernia surgery, which reportedly cost N9 million in October last year. According to her, the financial strain left her unable to adequately manage her own medical and living needs.

She further explained that funds previously donated to support her treatment could not be applied to her housing situation, alleging that her landlady declined to accept the payment and subsequently asked her to vacate the property.

Visibly emotional during the live broadcast, the actress made a direct appeal to prominent individuals and Nigerians at large for assistance, mentioning former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello, social media activist VeryDarkMan, and Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“I have a brain tumour. Nigerians, please help me,” she said, adding that she had withdrawn money meant for her surgery in an attempt to pay her rent, but the payment was rejected. Abubakar said she now needs urgent financial support to address her medical care and other pressing challenges.
