NAPTIP Rescues Six Trafficked Children, Arrests Seven Suspects in Niger
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has rescued six trafficked children and arrested seven suspected traffickers during an operation in Niger State.
According to the agency, the operation was carried out by its state command following credible intelligence on suspected trafficking activities in the area. The children were reportedly found in conditions indicating exploitation and illegal movement, while the suspects have been taken into custody for further investigation.
NAPTIP officials confirmed that the rescued children have been placed under protective care, with efforts underway to reunite them with their families and provide necessary rehabilitation and support services.
