Gov. Sanwo-Olu Hosts New Year Special Prayer with Lagos State Executive Council
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, January 1, 2026, hosted a New Year Special Prayer Session with members of the Lagos State Executive Council at Lagos House, Marina.
The inter-denominational prayer session, held at both the Lagos House Mosque and Chapel, marked the beginning of the new year with reflections, thanksgiving, and prayers for peace, progress, and continued development of Lagos State.
Senior government officials in attendance included the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro; members of the State Executive Council; Commissioners; Special Advisers; and top government functionaries.
The Governor emphasized the importance of unity, faith, and collective responsibility in advancing governance and sustaining Lagos’ growth trajectory in 2026.
