NNPC Postpones Contractors’ Conference In Abuja Over Ebola Case
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has postponed its two-day conference for contractors and partners in Abuja following the confirmation of an Ebola case in the Federal Capital Territory.
The conference, tagged the NNPC Limited Contractors and Partners CEO HSE Conference, was scheduled to hold from October 21 to 22, 2026.
In a notice published on its official X account, the national oil company said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure amid concerns over public health and the safety of participants.
NNPC did not announce a new date for the event, stating that further information would be communicated in due course.

The company also did not disclose details about the confirmed Ebola case or indicate whether health authorities had advised it to postpone the gathering.
“The health, safety and wellbeing of all participants remain our priority,” the company said.
NNPC apologised for any inconvenience caused by the postponement and thanked its partners, contractors, speakers and other participants for their understanding.
