Tiwa Savage Launches Music Foundation to Empower Next Generation of Talent
Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has officially launched the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, an initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of African music talent through mentorship, training, and industry opportunities.
The foundation is designed to support emerging artists as well as behind-the-scenes creatives such as producers, songwriters, and sound engineers. Through the initiative, young talents will gain access to professional training, mentorship from industry experts, and opportunities to connect with global music networks.
Speaking at the launch, Savage said the foundation was created to help build stronger structures within the African music industry and provide aspiring creatives with opportunities that were not easily accessible when she started her career.
The event attracted several prominent figures from the entertainment and political space, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu and renowned music producer Don Jazzy, who both attended in support of the initiative.
The foundation’s flagship programme will provide intensive music training for selected participants, focusing on areas such as music production, songwriting, musicianship, and the business of music.
With the launch of the foundation, Savage says she hopes to create lasting opportunities for young creatives and contribute to the continued global growth of African music.
