Court Dismisses Emeka Ike’s N10bn Privacy Suit Against Wike’s Aide, INEC
The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a N10 billion privacy suit filed by Nollywood actor Emeka Ike against Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Justice Salim Ibrahim, in his judgment, upheld the preliminary objections filed by the respondents, ruling that the suit was incompetent and improperly constituted.
The court also dismissed the substantive suit for lack of sufficient proof to substantiate the actor’s claims.
The ruling brings an end to the case at the Federal High Court, with the court finding that the suit failed to meet the necessary legal requirements and establish the allegations on which it was based.
