Army, CJTF Arrest Suspected Boko Haram Recruiter in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army, in close collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected Boko Haram recruiter in Benesheikh, striking directly at the network that fuels the insurgency.

The operation was carried out by soldiers of the 29 Brigade following an intelligence tip-off that led them to the suspect, who is believed to have been actively recruiting individuals into the ranks of the terrorist group.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that the arrest took place on Tuesday, March 24, during a coordinated raid involving both military personnel and CJTF operatives.

Military authorities stated that the suspect is currently in custody and undergoing due process, while investigations continue to dismantle a wider recruitment network and identify potential collaborators.
